Japan's Chubu Gas plans new biomass plant

Japanese gas retailer Chubu Gas is planning to build a 22.1MW biomass plant in Toyohashi city in Aichi prefecture, with commercial operations targeted for April 2019. Chubu Gas and associate Gastec Service have set up a 60:40 joint venture called Sala e Power ahead of the start of construction. The new company plans to start work on the plant this year and complete construction by end-2018.
