Germany in May exported the largest amount of wood pellets this year,mainly on persistently low demand,with stocks continuously full after a mild winter. Germany exported just under 50,000t of pellets in May, the highest level since December,data from statistics office Destatis show.Imports remained low at 21,800t—the third month in a row that they were below 22,000t. Germany mainly exported pellets to Italy and Austria, supplying 15,000t and 15,000t,respectively.Imports came mainly from Denmark,which supplied 7,000t,and from the Netherlands,which provided 5,000t.
