Chinese energy company Evergreen has signed an agreement with the government of Pingqiao district in north China's Henan province to invest in a 40MW biomass-fired combined heat and power plant. The plant will burn straw, forestry waste and agricultural waste. Evergreen will provide the estimated 300mn yuan ($45mn) investment needed.
