Report on One Case of a Bipolar Shoulder Arthroplasty After Attempted Arthrodesis

We report a rare case of shoulder arthroplasty after attempted arthrodesis. The patient presented a major functional impotency of the shoulder joint with severe pain and no mobility.After 7 years of inactivity, the patient was able to return to work 6 months after surgery.To our knowledge, only one other article exists in the literature concerning 3 other cases. In the present case, the functional result was found to depend on the functional activity of the deltoid muscle.
