Chinese export prices stabilise as Covid situation improves

Chinese steel export prices declined again in the past month, but at a much slower pace as Covid-19 restrictions eased in some parts of the country. A stronger yuan also supported Chinese steel export prices. Between 13 May and 15 June, the CRU China HR coil export price index lost $52 /t or 6.8. The HR coil domestic price was down by 1.4, while domestic rebar prices fell by 4.1 during the period.
