Features of clinical status of pregnant women suffering parasitic infections

Human parasitic diseases are infections of high spread. On the first place of prevalence among helminthiasises is ascariasis, and among protozoosises giardiasis. Parasitic infections are frequent found at children and at persons with the weakened immunity also. Pregnancy is the period when the risk of a parasitic invasion increases. However parasitological screening on a stage of family planning is not spent. Therefore modem data concerning frequency of an ascariasis and a giardiasis in pregnant and in child- bearing age women are unknown. Our aim was to find out the prevalence of the above parasitic diseases at St.-Petersburg's inhabitants.
