The HSE has issued guidance for employers whose work involves lowland gamekeeping and deer farming. The 14-page document includes advice on: the provision of information, instruction and training to workers; risks to the public; harmful substances; off-road transport; and overhead power lines. The HSE is on course to publish, by the end of 2013, a consolidated Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) and guidance on managing and working with asbestos. The HSE Board approved the final text of the publication at its meeting on 4 December 2013. The revised L143 updates the provisions of its previous incarnation but also incorporates advice on the management of asbestos in non-domestic premises that was previously contained in ACoP L127, which is being withdrawn.
