The HSE has completed a five-yearly Post-Implementation Review (PIR) of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, which is required by reg. 35 of the Regulations (HSB 448 p.9). The review, which is the first PIR that the HSE has carried out, must identify proposals for change if needed. The review will be published as a command paper and laid in Parliament by April 2017, but must first be scrutinised by the government's Regulatory Policy and Reducing Regulation Committee.
