Gen Energija seeks NPP approval

Gen Energija has submitted an application to the country's economy ministry requesting an authorization for the installation of a second NPP Krsko unit, on 19 January. The company explained the application is supported with results of technical reports and studies from domestic and foreign institutions that demonstrate the advantages of building a new NPP plant. Gen Energija maintains that the building of NPP Krsko 2 is "justified from the energy, economic and environmental standpoint".
