PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seek-servo apparatus for a hard disk drive which can accurately follow the actual position of the head as a target position of the head irrespective of a time delay, and to provide a seek-servo method.;SOLUTION: The seek-servo apparatus for the hard disk drives is provided with an actuator which moves the head to a desired position on a desired track in response to an acceleration command having a target acceleration component which leads a target velocity and a target position by predetermined time. The seek-servo method of the hard disk drive includes a step for moving the head to the desired point on the desired track by using the acceleration command having the target acceleration component which leads the target velocity and the target position by the predetermined time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
