EBRD delays loan for Srbijagas

The EBRD board January 26 postponed the approval of a ?150 million loan to Serbian natural gas supply company and pipeline operator Srbijagas. Talks on the loan are continuing and a final decision on the fate of the loan could be made as early as February 9. Proceeds from the loan will be used to fund the establishment of a new underground gas storage facility in northern Serbia, now that Gazprom has taken over a majority stake in Serbia's sole Banatski Dvor underground gas storage facility.
