With advances in technological capability, both learners and educators are starting to see the value and prospect of computers in training andinstruction (Webb and Wharton 1991, Bruce 1990). Despite having many names, computer-based instruction (CBI), computer-based training (CBT), computer-aided instruction (CAI), etc., the concept behind it is simple: training that takes place where a computer is the primary means of delivering the training material (Taylor 1980).
