COULD DEVELOPMENT OF SUSTAINABLE GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL SOLUTIONS ACCELERATE ACCEPTANCE OF MORE DIVERSE GREEN MOBILITY CONCEPTS? For much of the industry, the challenge of meeting tightening emissions targets is an ongoing battle as legislators lead efforts against climate change. The approaches vary, yet the goal is shared. Coryton, a creator and supplier of specialist bespoke fuels, is contributing to the fight in several ways, including working with fuels that are non-fossil, climate neutral, sustainable, and not in destructive competition with other natural resources such as edible material or forests. Sustainable fuels are an attractive option. Although complete electrification is a longer-term ambition in many countries, clean fuels can have a more immediate impact, turning vehicles - both new and old - into green alternatives. "How many people are driving an old car with a combustion engine?" asks Thorsten Kaebernick, technical applications director at Coryton. "And how many BEVs can be found in lower-income housing areas? We won't turn mobility to climate neutrality by only promoting and pushing electric drive applications, because only a small percentage of people can afford to buy them."
