Ehime Paper Develops Citrus-Derived CNF for Use in Cosmetics, Food Products

Ehime Paper Manufacturing Co. Ltd. has developed citrus-derived cellulose nanofiber (CNF) miniaturized through proprietary production technology. This has then found adoption as a cosmetic ingredient in the likes of moisturizing cream and two-in-one shampoo. Based in Shikokuchuo, Ehime, the company has a setup for producing 15–20 tons of this CNF per year, and is selling it to manufacturers of not only cosmetics but also food products.
