India’s Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Parshottam Rupala, has urged the agrochemical industry to “share propositions” with the government to develop crop protection products with enhanced eicacy and safety. He says that the country considers the agrochemical industry a “champion sector” and is keen to align it with “best international practices”. Mr Rupala was speaking at agrochemical industry body CropLife India’s 40th annual general meeting, which was held virtually on October 13th.
