Corteva Q3 agchem sales up 9%

Corteva Agriscience's crop protection sales rose by 8.9% to $1,340 million in the third quarter of 2020. In contrast, seed sales fell by 22.3% to $523 million in a reversal of fortunes compared with the corresponding period last year. Overall, revenues were down by 2.5% at $1,863 million. Improvement in the crop protection business was powered by a 16% rise in volumes and a 5% increase in prices. Those gains were partially offset by an 11% impact from currency moves and a 1% loss from portfolio changes.
