Corteva’s agchem sales up 12% in Q1

Corteva Agriscience’s crop protection sales rose by 12.3% to $1,686 million in the first quarter of 2021. On an organic basis, sales also grew by some 12%. New product sales increased by more than $120 million. A 6% rise in crop protection volumes was matched by the hike in prices, while currency moves added another 1% to the top line. Those were partly offset by a 1% drag on revenues from portfolio effects with by prior-year divestitures in Asia Pacific and the phasing out of older generic products.
