Idai launches Portento biofungicide in France

Portuguese company Rovensa’s biostimulant and biocontrols business, Idai Nature (Valencia, Spain), has launched its Bacillus subtilis-based Portento biofungicide in France. Portento has preventive and curative action. It is capable of rapidly generating many antimicrobial metabolites that effectively destroy the cell membranes of phytopathogenic fungi, while its preventive action limits the implantation of pathogenic micro-organisms by competing for space and nutrients and induces the activation of the plant’s self-defence system.
