FMC sales down 4% in fourth quarter

FMC recorded a 3.8% decline in agrochemical sales to $1,152.2 million during the fourth quarter ended December 31st compared with the corresponding quarter in 2019. A negative 5% impact from currency fluctuations and a 3% volume decline hit revenues, although they were partly offset by a 4% rise in prices. Excluding currency effects, the company points to organic growth of 2%. The quarterly sales result is in line with the reduced expectations that the company presented in January.
