US FDA concludes evaluation of Bioceres’ GM HB4 wheat

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has concluded its food and feed safety evaluation of Argentine soybean development consortium Bioceres’ (Rosario) genetically modified herbicide- and drought-tolerant HB4 (IND00412) wheat. The company rates the development as a “key step” towards commercial release of the GM event in the country, which is awaiting clearance from the USDA.
