PacBio/Corteva forge biotechnology deal

US biotechnology business PacBio (Menlo Park, California) has agreed a collaboration with Corteva Agriscience to develop customised “end-to-end” workflows for plant, pest and microbial sequencing. PacBio notes that the deal will initially focus on establishing “high-throughput” workflows in DNA extraction and library preparation, based on “tens of thousands” of samples sequenced by Corteva annually as part of its seed and crop protection research and production pipelines.
