China copper: TC/RCs inch up amid slow demand

Argus' copper concentrate treatment and refining charges (TC/RCs) index inched slightly higher this week amid slow spot market activity. The weekly index was at $36.70/t and 3.67￠/Ib on 11 June, compared with $36.60/t and 3.66￠/Ib a week earlier. There have been several recent spot offers for copper concentrate from Africa and South America, but few deals as spot buying interest was low during the peak summer maintenance season.
