U.S. Steel sees better than expected Q3 results

U.S. Steel, one of the largest integrated steel producers in the USA, will post better than expected Q3 results owing to higher shipments and improved manufacturing performance of the fat-rolled segment.The company reported its preliminary unaudited Q3 2019 results, anticipating an adjusted EBITDA to be in a range of $134-144 million as compared to $115 million expected earlier and $526 million registered in the same period last year, according to the offcial statement. It excludes approximately $9 million of estimated third quarter impacts from the December 24, 2018, fre at the Clairton coke making facility and approximately $54 million of estimated restructuring charges, Metal Expert learnt.
