Copper/Shenyang Jiuxing Group's Stage one Cu semis project to be finished this year

Construction of a comprehensive copper semis project with capacity i of 300,000tpy is underway at Shenyang Jiuxing Group's Shenyang Xioghe Nonferrous Metals Fabricating Plant. The total investment of the project is estimated to be 1.0 billion yuan(USD125 million). The project includes construction of production lines of melting & casting, copper wirerod, wire, bar, water plumbing, sheet & strip, and cable strip. The construction began in August 2005 and the Stage one project of building production lines of 10,000tpy copper strip used in electric cable, 120,000tpy oxygen-free copper wirerod and 20,000tpy copper bar is expected to be finished during 2006.
