Greater efficiency boosts Kolmar output

Russian coal producer Kolmar, based in Siberia's Yakutia region, has increased its coal production thanks to improved efficiency after acquiring new mining equipment. The company is on track to reach its 22mn t/yr output target by 2021. The firm aims to mine 10mn t of coal in 2019 from its two production facilities — Denisovsky and Inaglinsky, up by 4.5mn t from last year. Denisovsky is expected to produce 6mn t this year, up from 2.8mn t a year earlier, while Inaglinsky’s output is expected to increase by 1.3mn t to 4mn t, the company says. Output at Denisovsky could reach 7.2mn t in 2021, with Inaglinsky at 14.4mn t. The company aims to build and launch another 12mn t/yr mine at the Inaglinsky complex in two years. The mine will be construct- ed in two stages, each with a capacity of 6mn t/yr.
