The CIS export market for long steel is still experiencing slow buying activity. With contract prices for scrap in Turkey and Turkish longs offers falling, buyers in Africa and Iraq are in no hurry to make deals. Nevertheless, there is still some interest in wire rod coming from Israel, but market players report demand there will drop in the next few weeks due to the national holidays.
