CIS longs prices go down in sporadic deals

Prices in the CIS longs market are gradually decreasing. Suppliers have been under pressure of lower scrap and longs tags in Turkey since early March with continuing uncertainty about new quotas for rolled steel supplies to Europe. Russian producers, interested in sales, are making discounts to close at least rare deals. However, Ukrainian material is being quoted at higher levels, as the supplier has already booked the largest part of May production.
