For the purpose to increase the payload and to improve the comfort of the passengers the seats and interiors of aircrafts are exchanged about every 4 to 7 years and replaced by more and more smaller, lighter and more optimized versions. Doing this clearly quieter drive solutions are demanded each time. This paper describes a sound-optimized drive consisting of a motor and a planetary gear unit which was developed especially for the precise adjustment of a new seat module.
