Cutting rural road accidents

摘要

The CSS has initiated a research project designed to help local authorities achieve tough Government road casualty reduction targets. The ￡30,000 project will focus mainly on rural roads and aims to produce guidance and best practice on route safety. It will be run by the CSS Traffic and Safety Working Group, which will co-ordinate with the Department for Transport (DfT) and The Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) to ensure that the project builds on previous research. The research consultants will be TRL (Transport Research Laboratory).
