In process engineering duo-cone seals are often used at shaft passages for sealing fluids underpressure. The often insufficient lubrication has to be taken over by this fluid. Due to the principle attextureless sliding surfaces leakage cannot be avoided. By favourably shaped textures on the slidingsurfaces a conveyance or return transfer can be achieved so that higher press-on forces of the springare possible.
