Newark-based Jordan Road Surfacing last year finished a ￡300,000 refurbishment at Mallory Park race circuit on budget and a week early. Championship bike races stormed ahead on schedule after resurfacing of the 1.4-mile track that organisers say saw lap times tumble for the 2011 season, and are due to fall still greater this year. Some 2,000 tonnes of surfacing material was laid, overall. Established in 1995, family-run JRS has grown into one of the UK's leading road planing and paving contractors, employed by the Highways Agency, local authorities, and contractors to undertake roadworks nationwide.
