摘要

Sea Venom is the MBDA proposal to satisfy the Royal Navy's FASGW-H (Future Anti-Surface Guided Weapon-Heavy) helicopter-launched antiship missile requirement. The system was planned to enter British service in 2015 with a requirement for about 400 weapons. In July 2008, the French and British government agreed to a declaration of intent to merge their light anti-ship missile requirements. The French requirement is called ANL (Anti-Navire Leger: light antiship) and would replace the AS.15TT. In January 2009, the governments signed a formal protocol on the issue. A contract starting a 27-month risk-reduction phase was signed in 2009. The program was delayed by France's slow commitment to a development contract. A joint agreement was reached in 2014, resulting in an award of a £500 million ($830 million) in March 2014 to demonstrate and manufacture the FASGW-ANL missile for British and French requirements. An initial test firing of the Sea Venom was conducted at the DGA range on the Mediterranean on 21 June 2017. The current in-service date for the Royal Navy Sea Venom is 2020.
