ZF builds auto parts plant in Hangzhou

German automotive parts supplier ZF Friedrichshafen is building a production facility in Hangzhou city in east China’s Zhejiang province. The firm has invested 1bn yuan ($147mn) to develop the second phase of the plant, with a designed capacity of 400,000 units/yr for electric drive axle assembly and reduc- tion gear assembly. It is scheduled to launch production in the fourth quarter of 2022.
