摘要

Furrow irrigated raised bed tillage system is a new technique of crop production which may be successfully employed for wheat cultivation. A study was conducted to investigate the effects of different grain yield components on grain yield under conventional surface sowing system and FIRB system. Twenty genotypes were raised under two systems of cultivations to study the genotypic and phenotypic correlations and path coefficients among eight quantitative characters. Genotypic correlations were higher than their phenotypic correlations. Number of effectie tillers per square meter, days to 50 percent heading and harvest index exhibited significant positive correlations with grain yield under conventional system. Under FIRB system, grain yield showedsignificant positive correlations with number of effective tillers per square meter, days to 50 percent heading and grain number per spike. The path analysis revealed that number of effective tillers per square meter has much higher direct effect on grain yield under FIRB than conventional system. The results indicate that direct selection for tiller number, grain number per spike and 1000-grain and against plant height will be more effective under FIRB than conventional system.
