摘要

A study was conducted to determine direct as well indirect association of one variable (cause) through another as the end product (effect) in wheat (Triticum aestivum L). It revealed that number of spikes per plant had the highest positive direct effect on seed yield per plant. It was followed by grain weight, number of spikelets per spikes and phenol colour reaction. On other hand, characters like number of tillers per plant, number of grains per spikes, plant height and seed hardness (kg per seed)had negative association on the seed yield per plant.
