Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical designs rolling equipment

China’s SINO-HEAVYMACH has completed designing a 2,250 mm hot strip mill for Guangxi Shenglong Metallurgical in Fangchenggang City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Metal Expert learnt from the engineering company’s statement. The steelmaker constructs the unit to produce 5.5 million tpy of HRC within Phase II of the capacity replacement project. The new equipment will use a compact and efficient process lay-out with advanced environmental solutions and approach with rational resource use. That will allow to establish a facility for research, development and production of high-strength HRC from various steel grades, including structural, low-alloy, high-quality carbon and high-strength. SINO-HEAVYMACH will supervise erection and commissioning works, a source in the engineering company told Metal Expert.
