SMS group to supply longs-rolling equipment for Chi na’s Lianxin Steel and Shandong Laigang Yongfeng Steel

China’s Lianxin Steel and Shandong Laigang Yongfeng Steel decided to employ TMbaR technology,developed by Germany’s SMS group, for thermomechanical rolling of rebar.According to SMS group’s press release, the technology will enable the Chinese companies to set upproduction of fine-grained final products while reducing the content of expensive alloys in the inputstock. Thermomechanical rolling is a forming process in whichfinal reduction is carried out within a defined temperaturerange leading to specific properties of the rolled stock.
