China's first-quarter Si exports rise

Chinese silicon metal exports rose during January-March in response to firmer demand from international consumers following the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic. It exported 192,625t of the metal (Si 99.99pc maximum), up by 10.8pc from 173,778t a year earlier, customs data show.
