Significance of change in sectoral development in Haryana - an inter-tehsil temporal analysis.

Development levels of tehsils have been assessed through composite indices for each sector and for overall development. The data for different tehsils over three periods of time 2001-02, 2004-05 and 2007-08 on 36 development indicators, 18 from agricultural sectors, 8 from infra-structural sector and 10 from socio-economic sector were used. No change in development was observed in agricultural sector, whereas socio-economic development has been widened but the level of socio-economic development improved significantly over three points of time. The level of overall development was significantly different over three points of time. Non-significant relationship in the pairs of agricultural, infra-structural and socio-economic sectors was observed.
