Effect of weed control methods and nitrogen levels on yield attributes and yield of sugarcane

Weeds form a negative factor in crop husbandry and are responsible for marked losses in sugracane yields, if not controlled by suitable method (Lall, 1997). Nitrogen, on the other hand, has its prime importance in sugarcance production as it stimulates the vegetative growth of the crop, which is the main yield-contributing factor in this case. Thus, it was considered necessary to find out the effect of these two factors individually and their interaction on sugarcane.
