Portal grinder for big spur gears

摘要

Requirements in wind power engineering for planetary gear systems with maximum power density resulted in the development of a portal-type profile grinding machine. This can be used for simultaneously grinding helical external and internal spur gears up to 3000 mm in diameter without a lengthy change of the tool-head setting. Below a fixed portal there is the workpiece slide system that can be equipped with traversing moves of various lengths according to the working range required.
