APPA'S plans to harmonise oil industry policies

APPA WAS CREATED to adopt a common platform for oil and gas poicy initiatives and development strategies. It promotes common policy initiatives covering all facets of Africa's petroleum industry, and seeks to maximise the industry's ability to promote Africa's development trajectory through petroleum exploitation. It also acknowledges that APPA will require a substantial fund to achieve its ambitious mandate and set up the APPA Fund for Technical Co-operation.
