2008 Japanese Industrial Statistics

Presented below are statistics from the Japanese HVAC&R industry in 2008. This set of data has been compiled by the Japan Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association (JRAIA) based on statistics from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). Figure 1 shows the industry's total production and shipment trends in yen over the last 10 years. As shown in Fig. 1, Japan's HVAC&R industry bottomed out in 2003, continued to slowly recover from 2004 to 2007, and ended with a slight downturn in 2008.
