The present invention relates to the use of a microbial nematocide to protect plants from damage by leaf nematodes by preying Aphelenchoides fragariae. The microbial nematocide of the present invention contains an Arthrobotrys innospora A2008 (KCTC 10096BP) nematocidal microorganism strain as an active ingredient. In particular, Arthrobotrys innospora A2008 (KCTC 10096BP) of the present invention exhibits strong nematocidal activities against Aphelenchoides fragariae and can be used in various ways to reduce the leaf nematode damage to plants such as strawberries.
