Savannah Petroleum discovers oil in Niger's Amdigh-1 well in the Agadem Rift Basin

UK'S SAVANNAH PETROLEUM said that it has discovered an oil-bearing reservoir in the Amdigh-1 well, its second in a three-well drilling operation. The company said that it has discovered 22m of oil-bearing reservoir sandstones in the well, which is located in the Agadem Rift Basin in South East Niger. Savannah Petroleum said it would install a downhole completion assembly on the well after production testing.
