Ferro-tungsten prices in China and Europe have continuedto rise on expectations of tightening supply on the spotmarket, a trend likely to linger as the coronavirus spreadsbeyond China. By contrast, the price rises for other upstreamtungsten products such as concentrates and ammoniumparatungstate (APT) appear to have stalled.Most production facilities in China, the world’s biggest pro-ducer of ferro-tungsten, were closed for maintenance duringthe lunar new year holiday and stayed closed because of thespread of the coronavirus.
