Price outlook

There has been a slight divergence between Chinese and global tungsten prices at the beginning of September, after the recent strong upturn in tungsten prices that started in early July and appears to have peaked, in China at least, in mid-August. Chinese domestic tungsten prices started to come off the recent three-year highs in late August and the gentle downward trend continued into early September. By contrast, spot prices in Europe have held at the August peak levels, bolstered by continuing shipping and freight issues.
