Metal futures: Complex mixed on virus and data

Base metal prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mixed in the official morning session as rising cases of Covid-19 continued to weigh on sentiment amid the release of positive economic readings for Europe. The three-month LME copper contract was almost un- changed, dipping by $2/t to $6,706/t. Comex’s next most active month copper contract shed 0.3pc to close at $3.05/lb. The December contract has lost 2.6pc since closing on 23 October.
