US spot nickel premiums for cathodes rose in the latest week, the first movement this year with lack of trucking and increase freight costs putting pressure on premiums.Nickel premiums for full truckload melting grade, 4x4inch cathodes were assessed at 28-33￠/lb, up from 25-30￠/lb, while premiums for full truckload plating grade, 1x1inch cathodes assessed at 50-55￠/lb, up from 45-55￠/lb the week prior.
