China's antimony output falls in February

China's antimony metal output fell in February as smelters in the main production hubs cut or halted output because of a shortage of feedstock supplies. February production fell to 2,728t, down by 23.8pc from 3,580t a year earlier and down by 64.31pc from 7,643t in January, according to China's nonferrous metals industry association (CNMIA). Most smelters in Hunan province were forced to halted production in February following lower ore imports and tighter domestic ore supplies.
